WITN Activities:
- Works with school districts, local Social Security offices and others involved in the transition process to evaluate the current use of work incentives;
- Identifies obstacles to employment;
- Determines the effectiveness of multiple training and information dissemination strategies;
- Identifies strategies for overcoming barriers to employment;
- Develops products and training opportunities, which educate transition, team members including general and special educators, individuals with disabilities and family members;
- Analyzes federal SSI policy;
- Incorporates Social Security Work Incentive information into the Transition Planning (ITP) process.
