SSI Work Incentives: Accessing employment supports for youth with disabilities transitioning from school-to-work

Presenters on this call will discuss recent federal and state initiatives and services created to facilitate access to SSI benefits and work incentives program which support youth with disabilities transitioning from school to work.

The focus of the call will include the following:

  • Goals and operations of the SSI Work Incentives and Transition Planning Grant Project, and Minnesota's Disabilities Determination Services, and
  • Barriers and solutions to effectively accessing SSI benefits and work incentives program by students with disabilities and their families.
