Using SSI Work Incentives to Promote Successful Adult Outcomes for Transition-Aged Youth
Learning Objectives
This interactive course consists of six sessions and is available online via the World Wide Web. Participants may access the information at their convenience. Each session will run for two weeks. Upon completion of the course participants will be able to:
- gain knowledge about how SSA disability and work incentive programs can be used to promote adult outcomes,
- define their role in the transition planning process in regard to incorporating use of work incentives,
- gain a practical, working knowledge of work incentives to include: PASS, IRWE, BWE, SEIE, and PESS,
- demonstrate effective advocacy skills when working with the Social Security Administration.
